Our Dedicated Team of Experts
Dr. N. Lakshmi Narasimhan is an accomplished engineer, academician, researcher, and entrepreneur with 24 years of experience. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Madras, specializing in Cryogenics. Transitioning from academia to entrepreneurship, he founded Icon Thermal Solutions in 2024, focusing on R&D, innovation, and industry-institute collaborations. He also established Kalvishala, an educational firm to connect with the academic community.
He has published 19 research papers in top international journals and 17 conference papers on thermal storage, heat transfer, cryogenic refrigeration, lithium-ion battery cooling, etc. He has successfully guided one Ph.D. student and edited the book, “Recent Advances in Energy Technologies”, Published by Springer Nature, Singapore (2022). He holds an Indian patent for his invention, “A Thermowarmer for LPG Stoves (2024)”.
As a life member of IEI and the National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power, India, Dr. Narasimhan has received multiple awards for his contributions to both industry and academia. His R&D areas include thermal storage, battery cooling, cryogenic refrigeration, chillers, electronic heat sinks, solar thermal systems, energy-efficient LPG burners, and kitchen chimneys. He is passionate towards supporting the student community through internships, projects, and training programs.
